It sounds strange until you learn this: the word "sebum," the oil your skin naturally produces, literally means "tallow" in Latin. Tallow's fatty acid profile is the closest natural match to human skin lipids. Your skin already runs on this stuff. The whipped texture melts on contact and absorbs in seconds, no greasy film.

Most tallow you'll find is RBD, which stands for refined, bleached, and deodorized. That process strips out the nutrients that make tallow worth using in the first place. We source exclusively from Fatworks and Grass Roots Coop (100% grass-fed suet), render it low-and-slow ourselves, and make 30–45 jars per batch. Tallow is non-comedogenic. Because its lipid profile is so close to your own sebum, your skin absorbs it instead of sitting on top and blocking pores. The arrowroot powder in the formula also absorbs excess surface oil. A lot of our customers with acne-prone skin actually report fewer breakouts, not more.

A lot of our customers reach for it on skin that's stressed, reactive, or irritated, and they tell us it's the first thing that actually felt soothing instead of making it worse. Because the formula is anhydrous with no water, alcohol, synthetic fragrance, or preservatives, there's very little in it that can trigger a reaction. That said, everyone's skin is different. We always recommend doing a small patch test first, especially if your skin is currently inflamed.
This all-natural, eucalyptus scented, grass fed beef tallow cream is excellent. It's dense, so a little goes a long way. It feels like it absorbs into the skin about 10 minutes after being applied, and doesn't leave much scent at all. Every ingredient besides the eucalyptus oil is organic, and I love the fact that it's made in small batches in the USA. This stuff is amazing! First, the packaging is very nice and I love the extra touches. The stamp on the top is adorable and the stamp on the bottom showing you when it was packaged is great to know. I also like how it is sealed so you know it hasn't been opened or tampered with. Second, the whipped texture is so silky smooth, it makes my skin feel the same way and it is so easy to apply. Lastly, the smell! I have had other ones and this by far has been the best smelling one. Great product for a great price!

I came across this amazing product on Instagram and I'm so glad I did! This works wonderful. The whipped texture is awesome and easy to apply. Absorbs well into skin but doesn't feel greasy. Has a nice scent. I noticed improvements with my skin within the first day! This is definitely a must have!

Wife here: I've recently started using tallow as part of my skin care and I have been very happy with it. This tallow is more whipped than other kinds I've tried which keeps it from feeling as greasy on your skin. There is something slightly gritty feeling in it, but that goes away pretty quickly as you rub it in. The scent is nice and subtle but also refreshing. It helps moisturize the skin but I do find myself still adding some lotion depending on the day and the dryness of the air.

This may be a small container, but a little goes a long way. It is made with natural ingredients. It has a light scent but leaves your skin hydrated and soft. It is a little different than other lotions, but that makes it good.
When something says "small batches" I take notice. The worst for your skin issues is racid oils. Alot of larger commercial creams would be racid if they didn't add all kinds of additives & preseratives, which, by their nature is not good for your troubled skin either. I love the smell when you first open the lid. It does come unscented too, but I love Eucalyptus anyway. The texture is good for using a small amount that can spread farther & easier. It's not to thick nor is it gooey. The ingredients are wonderful & ORGANIC. So important for particularly baby's skin. Does it work? Yes, my eczema patch is not as raw & red. Has it gone away? No, but it's slightly smaller. Time will tell. But currently its great to have & work with. And it's well worth the price, believe me!

I love this moisturizer! It's butter consistency is soothing and satisfying to put on. It's very moisturizing for my extremely dry skin. It is a little greasy for the first few seconds or so, but it seeps in quickly. The smell is pleasant, maybe even a little invigorating! I would not put this on my face due to the fragrance, but I have very sensitive skin on my face. Definitely a win!
As a vet, questions organic claims and value. Balm is light, creamy, with strong eucalyptus aroma. Do not use near eyes (label says it's a night cream). Leaves a water-resistant film, good barrier. Beautiful presentation, but price is high for unverified claims.

I'm 36 years old with very dry skin, no acne or other issues. My normal moisturizers are the Bubble Slam Dunk Hydrating Moisturizer and Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel. Both are very popular and get good reviews, but I still have dry skin after using them. One day after using both moisturizers, my skin still felt tight and started getting red and itchy especially around my cheeks. Desperate for relief, I decided to try this beef tallow product and it helped almost immediately! The itchiness and tightness was gone as soon as I applied this product and the redness was gone within a couple of minutes. It left my skin soft and supple. I'm amazed, I really didn't expect this to work so well. I was afraid it would smell meaty but it doesn't. I got the eucalyptus version and the scent is very faint. Once applied, you don't smell anything. I was also afraid it would feel oily. Surprisingly it's not oily, the texture is like whipped butter. I use a tiny amount and it only leaves a little sheen. I really thought using beef tallow as a moisturizer was just a trendy gimmick. I'm excited to see if there are any long term benefits. I'll update this review once I've used it a little longer.

I was sooo scared to try this product. I have heard a lot of good things about using tallow but was hesitant to use it due to smell, texture, etc.. When I first opened the jar of this Unearth Organics tallow, I could instantly smell the "beefy" scent. It isn't strong, it is just noticeable. The scent disappears quickly after using though. I was thrown off at first, but I am super glad I gave it a try still. I have been using this on my face, and on a dry patch I have had on my foot for years. I have had some awesome, unexpected benefits. This cleared up my stress rash, AND it is clearing up my blackheads on my nose and chin!!! I was NOT expecting all my blackheads to start clearing up. The dry patch on my foot is softening up as well. I am so impressed with this product and will continue using it as long as it keeps working.

This works nicely. It is greasy, but it's tallow so go figure. Follow the directions when using. What I mean is that when it says your hands should be slightly damp, DO IT. That makes a world of difference when using greasy type products. I don't know if it just absorbs better or what. I've done this with many different ointments. If I apply this to bone dry hands, my hands just look shiny but still feel dry. When they are slightly damp, they feel and look moisturized. I also like to combine any plain lotion with something like this (that is greasy) and I feel like it makes the PERFECT hand cream. I spend a lot of time in my kitchen cooking and cleaning. This is where I keep this. Works great for my use. I ordered the eucalyptus, smells nice. Not too strong.
I have never used beef tallow as a skin cream, but I am glad I ordered this product. It calms my cracking dry, scaly skin. A little goes a long way. The cream glides on, and offers a very comfortable feeling on the skin. It isn't itchy, tacky, heavy or greasy. The moisturizing effect lasts a long time and I didn't have to reapply throughout the day. I recommend this product for anyone looking for dry or rough skin issues.
